Death did not hold him and today he offers this power to all who believe him. In resurrection Jesus Christ defeated death for any man to follow after. There is revelation from God who sees the invisible, lives in the immaterial, and knows what happens in secret. The science we have about death tells us we are all dying a little bit each day.There is no science that describes what happens after you die. If you enjoy life and want it to continue then you need Jesus Christ. The life that comes through Jesus Christ has no end. However, the life you have now was given to you, and it is destined to end. If you are reading this you are alive, and may think that Jesus Christ has nothing to do with it. Your pursuit for truth ends with Christ, and is not exhausted just because you heard the truth of the gospel (1 Tim 2:4). To make sense of anything you need Jesus Christ. Paul says all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in him (Col 2:3 Eph 4:21). ![]() You cannot know the truth without Jesus Christ. Here are 11 reasons you need the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever. Especially, if you think yourself a Christian who already believes in him. It is a worthwhile question to ask why you need Jesus Christ. Even ministry work and Bible study can distract us from the need for Christ if it is done as busywork and not with Christ as the goal. While they express praise for him, they can go days, weeks, and months without a single thought of needing Christ for anything. They think, “why would I need Jesus if he does not help with the things most important to me?”Įven Christians who claim his name, appoint him their co-pilot, or use him as Saviour don’t feel they need him once they have him in their pile of possessions. He does not provide entertainment, cure sickness, distribute money, grant the wishes of dying children, or lower taxes. They ask, “what has he ever done for me?” He did not help them get their first job, buy their first house, or find their first wife. I always try to look at the bright side of things & to see the good in others.Many see no need for a religious figure who lived two millennia ago. Thank you that your Word tells me if we ask anything in your name and according to your will that you will do it. ![]() Lord Jesus, grant me your grace, your mercy, and your lovingkindness to enable me to see you, know you, love you, and be one with you. Help me hunger and thirst after righteousness. Help me to see my sin, mourn it, and forsake it, by your grace. May my chief aim be to love you and be loved by you, to please you and serve you. May I be content knowing that you are mine and I am yours. No matter where I am, what I am doing, what Scripture I am reading, or what song I am singing, I want my mind, my energies, and my heart focused on you and not on me and my circumstances. I want to be so close to you, Jesus, that your Spirit flows forth from me in all I do and say. I don’t want to respond merely outwardly, but rather from within, from the river of living water. I need your power, your grace, and your love so that no matter what life brings my way, I can respond to each situation, each person, and each trial the way you would respond-all for your glory. ![]() Enable me to worship you in spirit and in truth. I not only want to know you and your Word, I want to have the desire to forsake sin and follow you and your Word. Bind my heart to yours, and place your truth deep within me. I don’t want to be forged by the culture. Help me, by your grace, to know you and love you so deeply and dearly that the things of this world fade away and grow strangely dim. Jesus, I need you! You are my Lord, my God, my King.
